"jati or jyatti?"

The caste system in India is a system of social stratification social restriction and a basis for affirmative action in India. Historically, the caste system in India defined communities into thousands of endogamous hereditary groups called "Jatis"
[The Jātis were grouped by the Brahminical texts under the four well-known caste categories (the varnas): viz Brahmins, Kshatriya, Vaishyas, and Sudra. Certain people were excluded altogether, ostracized by all other castes and treated as untouchables.]

Caste,no matter how many years may pass the stringent and orthodox attitude of the upper classes to the lower ones hasn't changed a bit . but we still call ourselves a secular country. Even the educated ones behave this shamefully. I agree things have changed since when, but change has been to a fewer sections only.

Some people are strict enough to disagree to the changes and still maintain the rationalistic views. That is even okay ,at least they are true to themselves. But there are some sections of the society who even if disagreeing to the modern ethics and equal-ism, feel ashamed to show in the real world. It has become a copy-cat world of miserable people around us. May be India is one the poorest countries in the world , but considering attitude, common human ethics and ridiculous doctrinal standards it has no match with any of the country in the world. Say it jobs, recruitment ,distribution of common amenities and even the holy bondage of marriage is bound to the caste society of inhumane. (mocking) I mean if the elders of our society won't understand the value of mankind, brotherhood and secularism then what would they enlighten the path of the youth?? Selecting a few hundred well educated personnel in spite of the their religion caste is much beneficial than a bunch of  thousand less qualified Brahmins!!! People need to be more matured and civic educated than just a degree , understand the depth of humanity and undo the mistakes of our ancestors. I myself a Kshatriya. If i want a brahmin girl as a person to live my life with or of any caste or religion it'll be completely beyond these man-made barriers. I hope that thinks this way too.;-)
